Below is some basic information about the services we currently provide.  Please use the menu to the right (bottom of page if using a phone or tablet) for a more detailed explanation of our services.

 

Refuge Service

The Refuge Service provides emergency temporary housing for single women and women with children who are fleeing domestic abuse and need a safe place to stay.

 

Adult Outreach and Resettlement Service

The Outreach and Resettlement Service works with women and men who are living out in the community and women who have left the Refuge Service.

Target Hardening

The Target Hardening Service ensures that the client is able to stay in their home- safely and securely.

Children and Young People Service

The Children’s and Young People’s service is a tailor made service for children and young people who have or are experiencing domestic abuse. The service aims to provide individual support, advice, education and assistance to children and young people.

IDVA (Independent Domestic Violence Advisor)

An Independent Domestic Violence Advisor (IDVA) is a named professional case worker for domestic abuse victims whose primary purpose is to address the safety of ‘high risk’ victims and their children – those most at risk of homicide or serious harm.

 

 

FGM Community Development

SDAS is currently providing the only specialist service for victims or potential victims of FGM in Hampshire.

Family Intervention Team (FIT)

The Family Intervention Team works within Children’s Services, alongside adult mental health and substance misuse to reduce the number of children and young people entering care, having a child protection plan, having a Child in Need Plan or being at risk of Public Law Outline.

Up2U: Creating Healthy Relationships

Up2U: Creating Healthy Relationships is a programme for people who use domestically abusive behaviours in their intimate partner relationships.
